Pleurobranchaea maculata Genome sequencing

Pleurobranchaea maculata is a native species to New Zealand coastal water. This poorly understood organism was found to contain high concentrations of tetrodotoxin. There is no molecular markers available for P. maculata. We sequenced the organism''s genome to develop microsatellite markers markers for further use to study the population genetics of this organism and to reveal any association between different toxicity levels and genetic structure. Here, we submit the sequences that were used for developed microsatellite merkers.
