DIMER-Mycoplasma study

The DIMER study is a cohort study including children six weeks – ten years with recurrent respiratory tract infections (rRTIs) and their family members. One of the primary aims is to compare the prevalence of primary antibody deficiencies and Mycoplasma pneumoniae carriage in children with rRTIs to controls without infections. In addition, we aim to investigate the mucosal immune system, including differences in mucosal antibody levels and the nasopharyngeal microbiota composition, in children with rRTIs with and without M. pneumoniae carriage.
