Pythium oligandrum strain:GAQ1 Genome sequencing

Pythium oligandrum is an important microbial antagonist that can antagonize filamentous plant pathogens and control a range of crop diseases. P. oligandrum mechanisms of action to control crop diseases include both microbe-mediated and plant-mediated mechanisms. The genome of P. oligandrum strain GAQ1 was sequenced and assembled. The P. oligandrum GAQ1 strain was isolated from soil from a field where infected ginger was growing in Shandong Province, China. The genome assembly will facilitate intra-species and inter-species analyses.
