This dataset contains the code and post-processed data used in the paper "Reduced Soil Drying on Hot Days Can Limit Summertime Heat Amplification." paper_readdata.ipynb contains the code used to read the original ERA5 and GLEAM4 datasets and mask out ocean and polar regions. paper_process.ipynb contains the code used to process data from reanalysis, observations, and simulations, and to generate the post-processed datasets. paper_fig.ipynb contains the code used to generate the figures from the post-processed data. data.tar contains the post-processed datasets.
