3D reconstruction for ibis MHNGr.ET.1456. MHNGr.ET.1456 is an ibis mummy. The body of the ibis is complete, the feathers are still present, as well as soft parts. Its head is lying on its forelimbs tucked underneath the bird. The mummy was infested with insects, as shown by exit tunnels, the substantial number of pupae, the remains of adult insects and flesh reduced to powder inside the mummy. Many gastropods were discovered inside the body of the ibis, found in the preserved remains of the stomach. A fracture, due to twisting, is visible on one of the cervical vertebrae. It is also possible to notice a pathology affecting the distal part of the two tibiae, which show evidence of osteoporosis.
