资源简介:
These data are part of the Long Term Monitoring of the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council, project number 22210128 Status and trends of EVOS injured seabirds in the Kenai Peninsula coast and Kachemak Bay.
This project will conduct vessel-based surveys of marine birds and mammals in Kachemak Bay to evaluate population trends and assess recovery of species impacted by the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill (EVOS). Field efforts will focus on Brachyramphus murrelets, integrating new population estimates with existing survey data across the spill zone. By analyzing trends over a broad geographic range, the project will provide updated insights into species recovery. Recorded variables for all species include: species, location, time, number, and behavior. These findings will support the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council (EVOSTC) in guiding restoration and management efforts. The files are presented as csvs per year of field work, with three supplemental documents describing metadata.
