We used microarrays to detail the global program of gene expression underlying identified distinct classes of up-regulated or down-regulated genes in salivary glands between Nfkbiz-/- and wild type mice. Total RNA samples obtained from the 20-week-old non-cohoused Nfkbiz+/+ and Nfkbiz-/- mice (n = 2 per group) were subjected to cDNA synthesis and labeling using the GeneChip™ WT PLUS Reagent Kit (ThermoFisher Scientific, Waltham, MA, USA) and then transcriptome analysis using the Affymetrix whole-transcript expression arrays (ThermoFisher Scientific) at Macrogen Inc. (Seoul, Korea).
