Margueritta Bruce Margueritta Bruce, 1993: 164. Type species. Margueritta sylviae Bruce, 1993, by original designation. Species included and distribution. Margueritta sylviae Bruce, 1993; Margueritta sandyi sp. nov.; southern WA. Remarks. The new species differs from the type species in the brood-pouch morphology. The type species was re-examined to ensure that the original diagnosis was correct. Harrison (1984a) considered brood-pouch morphology to show important generic characters, and the differences between the two species could be considered to be of generic merit. However some genera, such as Sphaeroma (Harrison, 1984a) are known to be variable, and the two species Margueritta otherwise agree.
