Forest Division in Saxony – Stocks

The data set contains the stocks as the smallest forestry economic unit in the forest of the Free State of Saxony. For each stock, forest ownership type (WEA), forestry farm number, forest sub-address, department number, subdivision number, sub-area number, stock (main stock, ancillary stock), forest district number, district number and 11-digit forest facility address are indicated. A distinction is made between forest or non-forestry areas according to the Saxon Forest Act (SächsWaldG). Forest economic units are formed within the framework of the forestry facility for each forestry operation and updated on the basis of the cut-off date. The data collected, the so-called forest basic data (FGD), are the basic data of the forest basic map (FGK). At the same time, they are the basis for the economic exploitation of the forest. They are stored both in the forest database and in geoinformation systems and visualised in various derived map types of the state enterprise Sachsenforst.
