Oryza spp. Transcriptome or Gene expression

We established a co-growth experiment between Oc(Oryza coarctata) and Os (Oryza sativa) plants and observed whether the halophyte helps Os plants to survive in a saline environment compared to the non-paired condition. Although the Os. sativa genotype that we used is moderately tolerant, the objective was to check whether it can tolerate even higher salt in the presence of Oc. We performed a comparative RNA-Seq based transcriptome analysis to determine how paired Os plants fared in high salt stress compared to the unpaired condition. As well, differential gene expression was carried out also to unravel the key genes and pathways related to growth and stress tolerance.
