Thematic Repository of Business Model Definitions

The dataset was prepared by a doctoral candidate of the Doctoral School at Lublin University of Technology as part of independent research carried out for the purposes of a doctoral dissertation in the discipline of management and quality sciences. The work was conducted at the Department of Information and Business Processes, Faculty of Management, Lublin University of Technology. The dataset is the result of a literature study and comprises the identification, verification and documentation of business model definitions appearing in the English-language scientific literature. The original wording of the quotations has been preserved and full bibliographic references have been provided, so that the material may serve as a foundation for further comparative and synthetic analyses in the dissertation. The dataset underwent a supervisory evaluation, which confirmed the consistency of the compilation with the research aim of the doctoral dissertation and the fulfilment of the quantitative and qualitative requirements. The data were obtained, processed and documented in a manner ensuring methodological transparency, which enables their further use in comparative and synthetic analyses. The evaluation confirms the reliability and credibility of the dataset, as well as the compliance of its preparation process with good research practice. The material may constitute a valuable source for further research, academic teaching and application in management practice.
