UV-mutagenized npq4 Chlamydomonas reinhardtii (4A mating type -) were screened for the restoration of high levels of non-photochemical quenching. Tetrads were segregated following mating with npq4 mating type +, screen based on phenotype, and pooled for bulk segregant analysis. Additionally, WGS was perfomred on npq4, npq4 spa1-1, npq4 spa1-2, and npq4 cul4-1.
