This study examined the impact of Jackfruit Leaf Extract (JLE) supplementation on broiler chicken performance, gut health, and meat quality as a potential alternative to antibiotic growth promoters. One hundred forty-four day-old Arbor Acre broiler chicks were randomly assigned to four groups, receiving JLE in their drinking water at concentrations of 0, 1, 3, and 5 mL/L for 17 days. The variables included in each file and description of the parameter is as follows:
File 1:
W1 = initial weight (kg)
NOB1 = Number of birds weighed per replicate at day 1 of experiment
W7 = weight at day 7 (kg)
NOB7 = Number of birds weighed per replicate at day 7
W14 = weight at day 14 (kg)
NOB14 = Number of birds weighed per replicate at day 14
W17 = final weight at day 17 (kg)
NOB17 = Number of birds weighed at day 17
AIW = Average initial weight
AFW = Average final weight at day 17
TWG = Total weight gain
ADWG = Average daily weight gain
Average initial weight (g/bird) = W1/NOB1
Average final weight at day 17 (g/bird) = W17/NOB17
Total weight gain = AFW -AIW
Average daily weight gain (g/bird/day) = TWG/duration of experiment (17 days)
File 2:
NOB = Number of birds per replicate
TFI (kg) = Total feed intake for 17 days
ADFI = Average daily feed intake
TFI (g) = TFI (kg) × 1000
ADFI (g/bird/day) = TFI (g) / (NOB × 17 days)
File 3:
NOB = Number of birds per replicate
TWI (l) = Total water intake for 17 days
ADWI = Average daily water intake
TWI (ml) = TWI (l) × 1000
ADWI (ml/bird/day) = TWI (ml) / (NOB × 17 days)
File 4:
AIW = Average initial weight (g/bird/day)
AFW = Average final weight at day 17 (g/bird/day)
