World Real GDP Data - Sample

Real GDP growth measures the growth of an economy over time, as computed by its Gross Domestic Product, with the movements of prices in the economy removed.

The dataset includes sample Real GDP standardized series across all countries in QoQ and YoY growth rates.

Data Characteristics

Frequencies for this indicator are quarterly and annual wherever it is available from national sources. Otherwise the indicator is calculated on an annual frequency. National accounts dataset from the latest available national base year/reference year is used to derive this indicator.

Standardised Unit of Measurement

Percentage change is the standardised unit of measure used. This indicator is presented in "Growth on the same period of the previous year "which is the rate of change expressed over the previous year.
