RNA-sequencing to reveal Macrophomina phaseolina induced senescence genes in soybean

Through comparative transcriptomics, we investigated the senescence-associated genes in soybean induced by Macrophomina phaseolina. Additionally, we examined the role of oxidative stress modulation in soybean resistance against M. phaseolina by pre-treating the plants with ascorbic acid, an oxidative stress rescuer, and hydrogen peroxide, an oxidative stress activator, prior to inoculation with M. phaseolina.
