Chronology: Early (600-400 BC) to Late Phase (400-100 BC) Red-on-buff pottery was the most common painted ware in Chupícuaro Culture, with forms ranging from ollas, open and rimmed bowls, oval shapes and tecomates, to spider-leg tripods, pedestal bases and effigy vessels (Porter 1956:570).
