The invasive redbanded stink bug, Piezodorus guildinii (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae), has become the dominant stink bug species in the MidSouth of the United States . The goal of this sequencing project is to provide the genomic resource to allow screening for genetic markers for population genetic studies of range expansion of this invasive pest, as well as gene expression studies related to range expansion, host use, and resistance management.
