资源简介:
Excessive saccharide intake contributes to the development of type 2 diabetes. Polyphenols may decrease saccharide absorption in the small intestine. We investigated the potential of curcuminoids to modulate glucose and fructose absorption, as well as the expression of saccharide transporters SGLT1 and GLUT5 in differentiated Caco-2 cells. We also examined the impact of different glucose-to-fructose ratios on curcumin's ability to inhibit saccharide absorption. The data includes measurements of glucose and fructose levels from basolateral collected samples and the statistical analysis of these results. Cell monolayers were collected, and gene expression was measured; Cq values and expression calculations using the delta-delta Ct method are provided, along with the subsequent statistical analysis. FITC-dextran measurements in basolateral samples are also included.
