Inspire-WMS ST GE, Geology

The data plane geology surface describes the rocks found at the surface up to a depth of 2 meters. Based on the digitisation of the maps of the “Geological Map of Saxony-Anhalt in scale 1:25,000”, published since 1870, the data is summarised in a 2-layer model. Transitions of the geological description between the leaves of the geological map were generalised. The encryption of the digitised content is based on the symbol key geology and its translation/transformation into the INSPIRE vocabulary. Scale: 1:25000
