We previously reported that Maillard reaction products containing melanoidins, referred to as "M", can induce immunity and promote disease resistance in tomato. To decipher the genetic mechanisms underlying the plants response to M, we conducted transcriptome profiling on control and M treated tomato plants, with or without subsequent Botrytis cinerea (B. cinerea, Bc) inoculation at times 0, 24 ,72 after inoculation and controls with and without M treatment
