Interim Environment Ordinance, Standards of water pollution

The provincial policy for regional flooding is aimed at ensuring protection against flooding and the understanding of risks. The plan map of the Provincial Environmental and Water Plan (PMWP) 2016-2021 includes the overall location of the concretely limited regional water storage areas and the areas susceptible to flooding (water storage reserve areas) from the previously applicable plans. Since 2009, the water boards periodically (1x per 6 years) check their water system, whether it meets the water nuisance standards. The outcome of these reviews and associated reports leads to an understanding of areas where standards apply or not. These areas are now limited in the Interim Environment Regulation.
