This register contains a summary record of sales of Crown Lands in the Land District of Walcha, kept by the Walcha Crown Land Agent, later the Walcha Lands Office.Each page is headed: "Sale of Crown Lands, held at (place) on the (date), under the advertisement dated the (date)." Each lot was assigned a letter, 'A', 'B', etc., with each new page beginning with 'A'.This register records information such as: the situation of land, county, town or place; the area (advertised for sale, sold, withdrawn, not offered); allotment or portion; section; upset price per acre; realised price per acre; purchaser (name, residence, and calling); amount of purchase money; amount of deposit; balance of purchase money; deed fee; date of payment of balance; and whether balances are paid at treasury or any other remarks.
