资源简介:
Necrotizing fasciitis is a soft tissue infection that affects the subcutaneous tissue and fascia. The necrosis quickly develops into disseminated intravascular coagulation, septicemia, multiple organ failure, and other serious complications. To the best of our knowledge, P. ruber-induced necrotizing fasciitis has not been reported to date. In our study, P. ruber was determined to be the causative agent of necrotizing fasciitis for the first time. The bacterium isolated from the patient in our study could not be identified from its biochemical properties or via mass spectrometry analysis. The whole genome sequence was performed by combination of long-read sequencing (Oxford Nanopore Technologies, Tokyo, Japan) by nanopore and short-read sequencing (MGITech Co., Ltd., Shenzhen, China) by DNBSEQ.
