Bacillus environmental strain isolated from a mining site

This Bacillus strain was isolated from a mining site in Guanajuato, Mexico. It has been studied over the years to unravel its biotechnological potential. To date, it is known that this strain possesses diverse useful capabilities for biotechnological purposes, like metal removal abilities (Al, V, Ni, Mo), high PHB production yields, and it has been also successfully used to stimulate the growth of crops like green bean, radish, and alfalfa.
