资源简介:
The contribution explores Gabriele D'Annunzio's deep fascination with Greece, which for him is not merely a geographical destination but, above all, a symbolic realm where myth, history, and imagination converge. The poet's real and ideal journey toward the "sacred Hellas" unfolds as a modern Odyssey, with D'Annunzio assuming the dual roles of hero and bard, both Ulysses and Homer. The symbolic encounter with Ulysses, depicted in the fourth book of Maia, bestows upon D'Annunzio a symbolic consecration, transforming him into a "Ulysside", destined for extraordinary achievements.
