资源简介:
Guaruba guarouba is endemic to the Brazilian Amazon, with limited occurrence to the south of the Amazon River and east of the Madeira River. There is a modeling based on habitat loss that indicates a population decline of between 23% and 40% in three generations, involving past and future. In addition, analysis of habitat loss in three past generations indicated a population decline of between 30% and 50%. For these reasons, G. guarouba was categorized as Vulnerable (VU) A4cd. (source: https://salve.icmbio.gov.br/). This sample of a female individual was procured by Nereston de Camargo, Jeronymo Dalapicolla, Alexandre Aleixo in Jacunda, Para, Brazil to generate a high-quality reference genome for Projeto Genomica da Biodiversidade Brasileira (GBB) and Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). Sequencing was conducted at the Vertebrate Genome Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, led by Erich D. Jarvis, Giulio Formenti, and Jennifer Balacco. Assembly and manual curation were conducted at Instituto Tecnologico Vale in Brazil. Please check the GBB Data Use Policy on https://www.itv.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Data-Use-Policy-GBB-v3.2_oct24-1.pdf for questions about the use of the data generated
