This study enrolled 163 suspected tuberculosis patients. Fresh tissues, pleural fluid or pus, tissue paraffin sections, and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid were collected from these patients and performed mNGS, Xpert MTB/RIF, and acid fast staining (AFS) tests. Their detection performance was statistically analyzed and compared to evaluate the diagnostic value of mNGS in tuberculosis.
