CERIS-A_Replication_2025_dataset

Counselors must consider their clients’ racial-ethnic identities in providing tailored clinical services. The Cross Ethnic-Racial Identity Scale-Adult (CERIS-A) was initially validated for community participants self-identifying as African American, Asian American, European American, and Latinx. As an independent replication, configural invariance was established for the six-factor solution, using 765 Prolific participants with minoritized groups well represented. Gender was also effective with configural and metric invariance. The Discussion recommended a person-centered approach when using CERIS-A in counseling.
