The genus Platorchestia is a crustacean amphipod, usually known as land-hoppers mainly inhabit the Pacific region, especially in northeast Asia. They can live not only on the shore of lakes and rivers but also found under the leaf litter of inland forests. In this study, we sequenced and assembled the first draft genome of Platorchestia sp. to know the ecological importance of this species.
