Tension tests of concrete prisms reinforced with multiple steel bars

This report provides experimental data of 10 reinforced concrete prismatic elements subjected to tension. All specimens were reinforced with four Ø10 mm steel bars arranged in the cross-section with various cover depths: 15 mm, 30 mm, 40 mm, and 50 mm covers were used. Specialised testing equipment was constructed to ensure a uniform distribution of tension deformations in the multiple bars. The test recordings include average strains estimated using deformation measurements of reinforcement bars and the concrete surface. Measurement results of the crack width and crack spacing are presented as well. Linear variable displacement transducers (LVDT), a digital microscope, and digital image correlation (DIC) system were utilised to collect experimental outcomes.
