File List SRARevisedModel.r – R code Description The text file SRARevisedModel.r contains a program file that can be executed in R. The script runs the original and corrected population models for <i>Alliaria petiolata</i> (garlic mustard) described in this paper. The script initializes a figure, defines variables used to iterate the model, defines constant variables, and defines alternate density-dependent survivorship functions. Note the variable inc is set to 0.001 by default but it can be changed to a larger value (0.01 or 0.05) to make the model run faster and produce lower resolution results figures. The script then iterates the original population model (original statistical functions, original implementation of density-dependent winter survivorship), the approximation population model (revised statistical functions, original implementation of density-dependent winter survivorship), and the realistic population model (revised statistical functions, revised implementation of density-dependent winter survivorship). All models include a correction to the effect of adult management on rosette survivorship, which is always shown in the third column of the 9-panel figure. The code will produce the 9-panel figure shown in Appendix B. To save the figure to the local directory, uncomment the following line: # savePlot('SRAModel_9Panel.png',type='png' The final section of code in the script can be uncommented and used to produce a time series and phase plot diagram of the corrected SRA population model.
