Global predicted data and risk assessment of PFAS concentrations in water and fish for the period 2000 - 2020

Per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), known as "forever chemicals," are pervasive globally and present a significant risk to ecosystems and human health. The database comprised 166,518 records of the PFAS concentration in water and fish globally. Subsequently, machine learning was employed to generate the inaugural global maps of PFAS concentrations in water and fish from 2000 to 2020 at a resolution of 1°. Ultimately, based on the predicted data, a global-scale assessment of PFAS-associated health risks was conducted.
