Stipa baicalensis Steppe is a unique native steppe type in Central Asia and eastern Asia of Eurasian steppe region. Its grassland ecosystem is experiencing the dual pressure of human disturbance and climate change. Based on the long-term observation of plant community composition in the field fixed enclosed sample plots, this data set sorted out the plant community composition of Stipa baicalensis meadow steppe in Hulunbuir from 2009 to 2015, including the name of the sample plot, the natural height of the species, the abundance of the species, and the aboveground green standing crop of the species. Users can search the data according to the survey year and plant community composition. The establishment and sharing of the long-term monitoring data set of Stipa baicalensis meadow steppe plant community in Hulunbuir can provide data support for the dynamic study of plant composition and community characteristics under the background of global climate change, and provide scientific and technological support for further understanding of the process and succession trend of Hulunbuir grassland ecosystem, so as to guide grassland ecological restoration and adaptive management
