Fungi Diversity in the Nests of the Parus minor

This study investigates the Parus minor as the research subject. By using artificial nest boxes to attract these birds, we employed 16S rRNA and ITS sequencing technologies to analyze changes in the nest microbial composition before and after nesting, and to identify the primary sources of the nest microbiota. Furthermore, the study examines whether these microbial community changes influence the reproductive ecology of the birds. This research enhances our understanding of the interactions between birds and microorganisms, offering valuable insights for studies on bird reproduction, development, and environmental adaptation.
