资源简介:
Fusarium crown rot (FCR) is a severe soil-borne disease caused by Fusarium species in many wheat growing regions in the world. The typical symptoms of FCR include brown discoloration of root and stem, and formation of white head at mature stage. The interaction of FCR and wheat root is rarely reported. In our study, inoculation of Fp significantly inhibited root growth of wheat seedlings. RNA-seq analyses were performed using the root samples of Fp-inoculated or mock-inoculated seedlings of partial resistant wheat variety Yangao21 and susceptible variety Xinmai26 at 5 days post inoculation (dpi) and 10 dpi, respectively. A large number of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified at two time points, respectively. Many of these DEGs were involved in pathways related to defense and hormone regulation. Results from this study extends our understanding of the molecular mechanisms of the interactions between FCR and wheat roots, and thus will benefit further efforts for the genetic improvement of FCR resistance.
