Genome sequencing and assembly of giraffe (Giraffa spp.)

To elucidate the evolutionary history and taxonomy of giraffe, we present the first population whole-genome analysis of giraffe representing all species and subspecies, and a high quality, 10X Genomics based de novo genome assembly of the critically endangered Kordofan giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis antiquorum).
