Dataset for Efficiency Analysis and Identification of Critical Success Factors in the Development of National Firepower

This dataset was created to support an efficiency analysis and the identification of critical success factors related to how countries convert national resources into conventional military capability, using Data Envelopment Analysis and Multiple Linear Regression, respectively. The database compiles information extracted from the Global Firepower (GFP, 2025) and Multidimensional Measures of Militarization (M3) datasets. It includes more than 100 variables for 152 countries, covering the period from 1990 to 2025, and encompasses indicators that may influence military performance across multiple dimensions (economic, financial, social, military, logistical, energy-related, demographic, and geographic).
