Northern Tornadoes Project Event Dashboard
收藏资源简介:
The Northern Tornadoes Project (NTP), founded in 2017 as a partnership between Western University and ImpactWX, aims to better detect tornado occurrence throughout Canada, improve severe and extreme weather understanding and prediction, mitigate against harm to people and property, and investigate future implications due to climate change. Western University also partners with the University of Manitoba, Pelmorex's The Weather Network, Instant Weather and CatIQ, and closely collaborates with Environment and Climate Change Canada and several Canadian and international universities on this Project. This web experience contains desktop and mobile versions of the NTP Event Dashboard. This dashboard summarizes the events investigated and under investigation by the NTP Storm Survey Team. Data is searchable by date, event type and data collected. The events found on this dashboard are tornadic events that were investigated, or are under investigation by NTP ranging from 2017 (project inception) to present day. For media inquiries, to report a severe weather event, or for other NTP information, please reach out to NTP via: ntp@uwo.ca Northern Tornadoes Project Site NTP Open Data Site NTP Twitter
