Model outputs of carbon pools and fluxes in the East China Sea using the CROCO model

This record contains model configuration files, model outputs, validation and calculation datasets, and analysis codes supporting the study “Carbon Pools and Fluxes in the East China Sea: A Coupled Physical-Biogeochemical Model Study.” The archived files are organized into four compressed packages. Model_configuration.zip contains the model configuration files used for the coupled physical-biogeochemical simulation. Model_output.zip contains the model outputs used to diagnose carbon pools and fluxes in the East China Sea and adjacent northwestern Pacific waters. Data_for_model_validation_and_calculation.zip contains the datasets used for model evaluation and carbon-pool and flux calculations. Code_for_figure_plot_and_flux_calculation.zip contains MATLAB scripts used for figure generation and carbon-flux calculations. The archived materials support calculations of water-column dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), dissolved organic carbon (DOC), and particulate organic carbon (POC) pools, air-sea CO₂ exchange, sedimentary POC burial, and lateral dissolved-carbon fluxes across key boundaries. They also support model-data comparisons of physical and biogeochemical fields used in the manuscript. These files are provided to support reproducibility of the model evaluation, carbon-budget calculations, and figure generation reported in the associated manuscript. Users should cite this Zenodo record when using the archived data, model configuration files, or analysis scripts.
