Soil microbial communities in a dredged material blended farm soil of Northwest Ohio.

Genome sequencing of microbial communities from the soil blended with Lake Erie dredged material. Dredged material from Toledo 29 Harbor, Ohio, was mixed with local farm soil at 0:100, 10:90, 20:80, and 100:0 for soybean growth in a greenhouse for 123 days and was subject to 16S rRNA gene sequencing.The study aims to evaluate how the dredged material affects the structure and development of soil microbiomes, using the 16S rRNA gene as the phylogenetic marker.
