A unique miRNA signature in children during type 1 diabetes' partial remission. miRseq-PRT1D

A longitudinal profiling of small RNAs in plasma was made in children with type 1 diabetes to analyze the differential expression of microRNAs during the partial remission phase. 17 pediatric plasma samples were profiled at the time of type 1 diabetes diagnosis with Illumina NextSeq 1000 System (SBS-based sequencing technology, Illumina, San Diego, CA, USA) in a run of 92 and 2 × 71 cycles and a high output sequencing mode. Moreover, profiling was made on the same patients when they later experienced partial remission or non-partial remission and also in 17 pediatric control subjects without diabetes.
