NRS-600 | Abattoir regulation book

This volume contains typescript and printed copies of regulations made by the Board of Health during the period of its control of the abattoir and directives regarding their application. Other papers contained are copies of various Bills and Acts dealing with slaughtering; staff matters; the setting up of an abattoir at Newcastle in 1913; and a scandal involving the inspector in charge of the abattoir at Glebe Island in 1899. Pasted across pages 45 and 46 is a lithographed plan of Glebe Island dated 1899 and, loose between these two pages, is a hand-drawn plan of the island dated 1861. (5/5866). 1 vol.
