NRS-12160 | Programmes and menus from the royal visit of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

This series conists of a programme and menus from the first royal visit by H.M. the Queen and H.R.H the Duke of Edinburgh to Australia in February 1954. The programmes and menus were collected by the Premiers Department of NSW to commemorate the events.The menus relate to the following functions; a luncheon tendered to H.M. the Queen by the Government of New South Wales on 4th February 1954 and a State Dinner tendered to H.M. the Queen and H.R.H. the Duke of Edinburgh, 4 February 1954. The programme is from the Royal Gala performance at the Tivoli Theatre on 6th February 1954.Also included in this series is a programme from the Official Coronation Concert which was part of the celebrations that took place at Sydney Town Hall on 3rd June 1953 for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
