Impaired grazing of marine protozoa in sub-lethal exposure to the water accommodated fraction (WAF) of crude oil and dispersant

The dataset contains the results of grazing and incubation experiments of marine unicellular grazers in exposure to the water accommodated fraction (WAF) of crude oil and chemical dispersant at various concentrations. The data were generated based on laboratory experiments conducted at Buskey’s lab at the Marine Science Institute of University of Texas at Austin. The data were collected intermittently from Mar 2017 through December 2019. The data include the cell dimension measurements of microorganisms used for the experiments, the growth rates of different micro-sized grazer and algal prey species, the median growth inhibition concentration of the growth rates of protistan species, the grazing rates of protozoan grazers and the gross growth efficiencies of grazer species. The dataset also includes the estimated initial concentrations of total polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and individual PAH of the test media used for the exposure experiments.
