While Parachlamydia acanthamoebae Bn9 belonging to environmental chlamydiae fails to grow into mammalian cells at 37℃, we found that the bacteria grew well in the cells at low culture temperature 30℃. We therefore attempt to uncover the growth mechanism in the cells through the bacterial genome analysis.
