Post-visit behavioral intentions in popular revolutionary heritage destinations: Serial mediation of cultural identity and perceived environmental restorativeness with fsQCA configurational paths

This repository contains the raw survey data and research instruments for the study “Effects of Revolutionary Heritage Tourism Experiences on Post-Visit Behavioral Intentions”.Data were collected from 972 visitors at two revolutionary heritage sites in China (Xibaipo and Shaoshan). The dataset (cc2.csv) includes measures of revolutionary heritage tourism experience, cultural identity, perceived environmental restorativeness, post-visit behavioral intentions, and demographic variables. All data were collected using anonymous, self-administered questionnaires and are provided in de-identified form.The complete survey instrument used in this study is provided in the file Instrument.docx, which contains all questionnaire items administered to participants. Detailed variable definitions and coding schemes are described below.In the file “cc2.csv”, for the variable gender, the value 1 represents male and 2 represents female; for the variable age, the value 1 represents under 18, 2 represents 18–25, 3 represents 26–30, 4 represents 31–40, 5 represents 41–50, 6 represents 51–60, and 7 represents 60 or above. The variable Edu denotes education level, where 1 represents junior high school or below, 2 represents high school or equivalent, 3 represents associate degree, 4 represents bachelor’s degree, and 5 represents postgraduate degree or above.Variables ZX1–ZX17 represent the standard scores of the 17 items in the Revolutionary Heritage Tourism Experience Scale; variables ZM1–ZM16 represent the standard scores of the 16 items in the Perceived Environmental Restorativeness Scale; variables ZY1 and ZY2 represent the standard scores of the two items in the Post-Visit Behavioral Intention Scale; and variables ZW1–ZW9 represent the standard scores of the nine items in the Cultural Identity Scale.These materials support the analyses reported in the associated manuscript, including structural equation modeling (SEM) and configurational analysis (fsQCA).
