This R script tries fitting alternative distributions to the bat dispersal data from Norquay et al. 2013. Conclude that a uniform distribution is as consistent as other possibilities. It also looks at alternative distributions for NY little brown bat population sizes from Turner et al. 2011, this can then be used to produce random versions of the regional bat population.
