资源简介:
The great fruit-eating bat (Artibeus lituratus) is a species of bat found from Mexico to Brazil and Argentina, as well as in Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Grenada, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Trinidad and Tobago (from Wikipedia entry). This sample of a male individual found in Lamanai, Orange Walk District, Belize, was procured by Nancy Simmons and Sonja Vernes to generate a high-quality reference genome for the Bat1K project and Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). Sequencing was conducted at Paratus Sciences and genome assembly was conducted at the Vertebrate Genome Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, led by Erich D. Jarvis, Giulio Formenti, and Jennifer Balacco.
