Measurement of IT Utilization to Support Tourism Development on Pramuka Island, Kepulauan, DKI Jakarta

The Seribu Islands National Strategic Tourism Area is now a popular tourist destination due to its pristine natural beauty, a key attraction for tourists, including international tourists. Therefore, its potential needs to be developed. In line with current developments in information technology, the role and contribution of this technology can be utilized to improve tourism development performance through the development of tourism information systems. This study was conducted to measure the contribution of information technology in building tourism information systems and to support the sustainable development of the tourism sector. The IT balance scorecard method was used to analyze information technology performance through several perspectives, such as contribution to the organization, user orientation, operational performance, and future orientation. The results of the study indicate that information quality, information system integration, ease of use of applications, and technical support are key factors that must be considered to support the success of tourism development in terms of utilizing information technology.
