Constitutional Challenges (Abstract Reviews) in Spain 1980-2019

This dataset contains comprenhensive information on all Abstract review (recursos de inconstitucionalidad) submitted at the Spanish Constitutional Court from 1980 to 2019 by policy actors with locus standi. It identifies the law case, the name of the law challenged throught this judicial procedure as well as the defiant and the defender. It also identifies the year when the abstract review was presented and the judgement' date. Additionaly it includes variables that identify the number of the legislature at central level and a summary of the law case, when available.
